Honolulu to Oz - Australian travelog for 01.21.2008

Catching Hawaiian Airlines out of Honolulu, one thing
you don't have to worry about is getting fat on their
food......me thinks that the food is bought on the
secondary market and with a little parsley...my god do
we have a meal. Now the movies are even a better
choice; the first one was "Nanny", next we go to
"Ratatouille" or something to that effect cartoon and
last just before landing in Sydney was
"Hairspray".................No crying kids, but the
plane was full and the flight attendants were older
then me.

Spent the night in Sydney before catching a flight to
Melbourne the next day. The couple that I had met at a
caravan sight at Exmouth, South Australia offer to
store the motorcycle for me at their house in
Melbourne. Needless to say the wife's dad picked me up
at the airport took me back to his place. Now getting
back to his place becomes a problem as we get loss.
We spent the next 4 hours at a Korean bar getting a
bit under the weather before his wife shows up to take
us home. Spent the rest of the day drinking his home
brew, the level of alcohol per bottle was questionable
but at least 15-20%!!!!! Did I have a problem sleeping
that night..?

Next day was spent getting the bike together and
leaving the following morning for Portland.
The morning of departure from Kinglake was wet, the
bike was wet and I got wet and stayed that way for
another 350km until just north of Portland where
mother nature decided to clear the skies a bit.

If OZ is going through a heat wave and drought....will
someone please out there show me where this is
happening as all I get is overcast skies, rain, wind
and freezing my bloody buns off.

In to Portland spending the night in the chicken shed.
The next day was a Ulysses Motorcycle Club run to the
Shamrock Pub in Warrnambool. With a proper pint and
another low cholesterol meal(Mrs Mac's Beef Pot
Pies).....just where is my blood pressure going with
this for the next couple of months. The couple are on
a veggie diet but me thinks that the man of the house
is not following proper form. The first night there I
hear someone going out the front door around 0200 hrs.
No worries but this happens again the next night.....I
get up and I find husband No 1 going through the
neighbors trash bins looking for food as the wife has
everything in the kitchen under lock and key....!

Today it is off to Adelaide staying with another
couple who still refuse to answer their phone.....
Any way out of Portland with the weather overcast,
cold and the threat of rain. It wasn't until 1034hrs
Victoria time that I finally found the first ray of
sunshine since arriving in Australia.......
